Future synth Engineers is a new side project from Sascha Dikiciyan aka Sonic Mayhem. FSE is a collection of musical ideas, a platform to release music that is not bound to any particular genre. Each release will has a different goal and a specific musical style to fit into the genre, known as “Soundtrack for a movie that doesn’t exist”. FSE is not just about pushing musical boundaries, but also exploring the visual realm with cutting-edge cinematic AI images that will accompany each release.
“Distant waves of analog shores”, the first release, is an emotional musical journey in search of a past legacy, that cemented its voice in many soundtracks of the 70s and 80s.
Using minimal, only Analog gear and recorded onto tape, we return to an electronic area of the past, inspired by the avant-grade movement of the so-called Berlin sound, invented in West Germany at the time. “I wanted to do something that inspired and shaped me musically for a long time, that would make use of only Analog gear, no plugins, not much editing and record it all onto tape. Everything you hear is improvised and played in live.
In addition, I’ve created film like voice over snippets to invoke a sense of nostalgia and specific cinematic atmosphere, fitting to each track.”
Distand Waves of Analog Shores is now available on most streaming platforms.
